The State Government of Sikkim through the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment & Welfare provides a sum of Rupees 600/- per month as SUBSISTENCE ALLOWANCE to every person with disability. |
Eligibility |
40% and above disability, Annual family income should not be more than INR 24,000/, Applicant must be resident of Sikkim, No age bar, Those who are availing other disability pension from state or central govt. will not be eligible to avail subsistence allowance |

Disability Certificate., Resident proof/ID card, Income Certificate., Three passport size photographs |
Procedure |
application needs to approach the Office of the BDOs or Office of the Social Welfare Officers and also can approach Social Welfare Division at Head Quarter, Gangtok. Applicant can submit their form to the panchayat in the rural area. The monthly amount will be credited to the Saving Bank account or to the post office of the applicant. |
