The department of Social Security is providing educational scholarship to the students with disabilities. Rate of the scholarship as per the class is given as follows: Class 1st to 8th : amount is INR 200/- per month; Class IX, X, Pre university course and I.A/I.Sc: INR 300/- per month; Graduation: INR 300/-per month, B.E/B-Tech/MBBS/LLB/B.Ed/diploma in professional and engineering studies /in plant training: Rs.300/- per month, M.A/M.Sc/M.Com/I.I.M /M.Ed etc: INR 300/- per month |
Eligibility |
Minimum 40 % of disability, Student should have scored passing marks in previous annual examination, Family income should not exceed more than INR 60,000/- per anum., Resident of the state |
Documents required |
Copy of Disability certificate, Copy of Mark sheet of previous annual examination, A recent passport size photograph, Income certificate, Annual progress report of the disabled scholar for the year prepared by the head of the institution. |
Procedure |
Application should be made to the District Social Security office in the prescribed form through the head of the institution, where candidate is admitted as a student/trainee. Renewal of scholarship will be done every year by the directorate of social security. |
