Attitudinal barriers are Stereotypes, Stigmas, prejudices or negative opinion, that an individual or group, may have against people with disabilities. These may range from people seeing disability as a personal tragedy, or as something that needs to be cured or prevented, or as a punishment for a previous birth sins, or as an indication of the lack of ability to behave as expected in society. A classic example would be of a person with disability not promoted, as the manager feels that they can’t take higher responsibilities on account of their disability.
