A person with 100% vision disability, Ankit Rajiv Jindal wears multiple hats, including of a marketing professional, Disability rights activist, innovator, and influencer. He started to lose his sight at 13, but never let his disability stop him from achieving his goals. He believes that the advancements made in technology has changed the lives of people with disabilities and has helped them live with confidence, dignity, and independence. Ankit represented India at the United Nations (UN) in 2015, as a youth icon. At the corporate, Ankit works as a marketing professional in a top 10 global business and IT services provider. A disability rights activist, Ankit has been the founding member of three impact organizations, including Friends For Inclusion, DEOC and (erstwhile) Kickstart Cabs. As a disability rights activist, Ankit has been leading several discourses at national level including on integration of disability with the Sustainable Development Goals, data on disability, employment, and assistive technologies. Ankit is the creator of Mera Mitra- world’s first AI-powered chatbot for people with disabilities to overcome information barriers. As an industry influencer, he has participated in 50+ national and international conferences including those held by UN, Government of India, Department for International Development- UK, Disabled People International and Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technology. Ankit has co-authored “A Value Route to business Success” – an HR manual explaining why and how of hiring persons with disabilities in 2009 and has contributed several articles on print and digital platforms. Ankit is an MBA from the prestigious Faculty of Management Studies –University of Delhi and was recognized as a ‘National Role Model’ by National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People.
