The National Association for the Blind, Unit Maharashtra was established in 1984 as a state branch of the National Association for the Blind (India) for the overall welfare of the blind in the state of Maharashtra.
It is a registered body under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. NAB’s main objective is to provide blind persons with preventive medical assistance, educate and impart vocational training, provide employment and make them self reliant and resettle economically, Which enables them to be in the main stream of the society and lead an independent life with dignity.
