Scholarship for higher secondary school

Incentive

Goa awards a scholarship to students with disabilities, who are  studying in 9th to 12th standard  of INR 500 per month. The amount is credited for period of 11 months in a year.

Eligibility

Applicant must be a resident of Goa by birth or by a continuous domicile of 15 years, and have a  Minimum 40%  of disability. Further, the applicant should have secured at least 45% marks in the previous annual examination And family annual income of the applicant from all sources should not  exceed INR 1,20,000/-

Documents required

Disability certificate, Income certificate issued by panchayat or BDO or Municipality authority, Mark sheet of previous annual examination duly attested by gazetted officer, Recommendation by the head of institution in which the candidate is studying, Res

Procedure

Applications should be made to the Director of social welfare in the prescribed form through the head of the institution where the applicant is admitted as a student.
