Just about two people out of every five people with disabilities are able marry in India. Therefore, the marriage statistic of people with disabilities in India is not very encouraging. Talking about specific marriage-rate of people with disabilities, according to the Census 2011 of India:
- 72% of the disabled population have never been married —
- 01% of disabled women have never been married.
